Navigating in the Biesbosch

If you go out boating in the Biesbosch national park you will receive a map of the waterways that shows you where the different types of boats (canoes, motorboats and electric boats) are allowed to go. But since there is no signposting, there is quite a risk of getting lost. Sabrina Woud has designed Navigating in the Biesbosch: buoys woven from willow branches to mark the boating routes. The buoys are marked out on the map and act as pointers on the water. They revitalise the old craft of willow weaving and form a link with history.
