ArtEZ institute of the arts presents

ArtEZ institute of the arts is one of the largest arts educational institutes in The Netherlands. It not only comprises bachelor’s and master’s courses in the fine arts, fashion, design, architecture, music, dance and drama, but also creates an opportunity for interdisciplinary collaboration. The department fashion and product design is based in Arnhem.
The educational focus will always be on the actual transformation of concepts into products with the appropriate context. Students are expected to adept their personal vision on contemporary design. Well know graduates from ArtEZ fashion and product design are among many others: Marcel Wanders, Ineke Hans, Viktor & Rolf, Lidewij Edelkoort and Alexander van Slobbe.

Collection Arnhem fashion
The minor Collection Arnhem fashion is a project where 3th year students work together on designing a collection of clothes, which they produce as samples and then style, present and sell. The project was concluded with a show at Amsterdam International Fashion Week last January which was organised and designed completely by the students them-selves, and is presented to the public at 'Coming Soon'.
In Milan this 11th collection of Collection Arnhem fashion graceland will be shown, based on the prehistoric man – a strong men and a strong woman.

4th year students are asked to design a coherent and complete collection based on a theme or a personal idea. Three silhouettes toile-de-luxe have to be realized in black or white but in different qualities and volumes.

This year 3th year students of product design started to work on their first collection
Arnhem design in a comparable way. Students started a research on products of their own hometown and roots. Based on local crafts and memories they started to design 19 products reflecting their own cultural heritage.

fashion masters
The two-year master programmes of artEZ fashion masters consists on the one hand of Fashion Institute Arnhem (FIA). At FIA, students can develop their competencies as a designer on the international circuit. On the other hand the master programm fashion, design and strategy (F,D&S) focuses on the development of vision and strategy with specialisations in curation, futurizing and journalism.
