Analysis on the Moving Skin

Govert Flint’s research about motion and skin entailed covering a body in mud and then recording how - after it dries, and as the body starts to move - it cracks and forms patterns. The shapes in the mud reveal which parts of the body are more active and which are more passive – research that informed the design of his Bionic Chair.
